Jabulile Sweednes Nkosi runs a small fast food business in the comfort and space of her home in Groenvlei Farm in Utrecht, KwaZulu Province of South Africa. In living, studying and understanding the area, around 2019 came a realization of pure scarcity and the uniqueness of freshly prepared food around the Groenvlei Farm community. With that in mind, the shop was formed as a solution to the number of people who use the Groenvlei area for governmental services (i.e. Police Station, Public School, Clinic & a local supermarket…) and now servicing a good percentage of the immediate community and surrounding areas. The Somnyama kaJabu’s Fast Food reputation has been built on homely food and quality service.
